Ida Ballard Simon Memorial Golf Tournament

The Ida Ballard Simon Memorial Scholarship Fund Committee requests your support for the 2nd Annual Golf Tournament which will tee-off at 8:00 am on Saturday, April 25, 2009, at the Riverside–King Golf Course Memphis, Tennessee.

The goal of this event is to raise scholarship funds that will assist eligible graduating seniors of Memphis City Public Schools to attend Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri (Ida’s Undergraduate College Alma Mater).

The fundraiser will enable students to pursue a higher education from Lincoln University (a Historical Black University). This fund has been established by the siblings of Ida Ballard Simon and will be administered by the Lincoln University Foundation, Inc.

Beginning May 2009, annual book scholarship(s) will be issued each year until we reach our initial endowment goal of $50,000Once this fund becomes endowed, a 4-year scholarship will become available to eligible student(s).
