Depression
Depression can sometimes be a very challenging thing to go through . You may feel alone like no one understands you and you don't have a friend in this world. Overcoming it will take time. It will also take patience and understanding. The first and important step to overcomming depression is admiting it. Come out in the open with it. Stop trying to hide your feelings. Don't be ashamed of it. When you try to hide or conceal a this it can often make your case worse and you can possibly loose your mind. Find someone to talk to, perhaps someone who has been through it as well.
The very first step is to accept Jesus in your life. You will notbe able to overcome depression successfully without Him. This will be your ultimate foundation to building ensuring that this thing will not come back.. Accepting Jesus is simple it starts with a prayer. When I was depressed I did not believe that Jesus was real. I had been brought up to believe in Santa, the Easter Bunny and also the Toothfairy. Yes I was once hurt, depressed and felt like I could not go on. I said God if you are real show me, come into my heart. And he did just that. The secound step is to stop looking at T.V so much. Especially negative stuff on T.V. such as killing, lying, shooting, violence and adultery. Give up songs that talk negative and nasty. Sometimes even friends can make you depressed. Watch who you associate with. Some people bring negative energy to you and add more problems to your problems. Change your enviroment and surroundings from time to time. Take a weekend getaway at a cousins house or something. Read and Listen to Audio books dealing in with depression. Educate yourself on it. READ THE BIBLE and pray as much as possible. You might not understand the bible but, the words contained in it is likemedicine to your body. Try to discipline yourself to read it as often as possible. If you feel don't always have time to devote to reading listen to it online. I recently purchased a MP3 holy bible. Also it is very important to excercise everyday. This step is very crucial for your recovery. Studies have proven that a person that excercises rarely will ever deal with depression. Take a brisk walk, any type of excercise helps as long as you are persistent and consistent. Attend Church as often as possible this is where you will find strength, get a prayer partner, someone you trust. . I have personally been there myself and have also helped several other women to successfully come through. If you are having suicidal thoughts, don't do it call me. Thanks for the info Being a nurse I have seen many aspects of depression . Also I have seen close up in my family also what depression can do, not only to the person but also to those around them. It is an illness that can' t really been seen, so many don't know how to deal with it in the natural..But spiritually we as children of the Most High have to know how to deal with depressiosn and how to talk to others who are depressed.
