Saved For Real.Com!

The Network For Excited Christians!

I'm really in a time of reflection. After my churches last event I was really stunned at the cost of some of our popular christian music ministers. Between the performance fee, tranportation fees, airfare, the technical rider, dressing room and Food requirement it's hard sometimes to remind yourself " It's all about Jesus". I've been saved for real for 28 yrs. The Ministers seem alot more humble in the early 80's and 90's. Really!! Is it just me. I want the mind of Christ to lead us as we come to the close of this age. Being a Church Musician myself I've aked God to Anniont me to minister to His People. if that means sing in the homeless shelters, nursing homes, hospital rooms.( I sang " I miss my time with you" to a saint with just a track on a boom box by her bedside talking about Holyghost Power!) I believe that's just as powerful as singing to thousands. remember many of the the top groups when they first started broken and with tears compleling men to come to Christ. Street Ministry neighborhood blockparties. It's hard to find our top singing doing the things that Got them there. I know a mans' gifts make room for him. Favor !! Yes ! Where is the balance between what is a fair wage for the musician And what is just too much. A popular saying in the Body of Christ is " Salvation is Free But it's not cheap!! It Cost Christ His Life. Are we going to far What Do you Say Saved For Real Saints

Yes Minister Tony, We are going too far. In the church world we as a majority are looking at Christ with one eye, and looking at the "recession" with the other. We are depending on God and trying to get what we can with our own efforts and using our talents in the name of Jesus, and we get to keep something in our name in the bank. That was a blessing when you sang to one person. that must have been a very blessed moment. You have the mind of Christ, because if there was only one person in the world,Christ would have died, and shed his blood for that one person. There is more rejoicing in heaven for just one who comes to Christ. The Lord does want us to be prosperous and in health,as our soul prospers. But the point is,.. is our soul prospering first? WE must keep our eyes on pleasing God and all thing will be added unto us.:
